Srinagar Jan 21 (KNO) : Lashing out at both Centre and State Govts' for failing to ensure safety of People living near LOC, The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G. A. MIR today expressed deep sorrow over loss of lives including that of Army & BSF Personnel due to unabated ceasefire violations on LOC, saying that State of J&K has been converted into battle field. He also strongly condemned the firing on civilian populations living near LoC, which caused heavy damages to both life and property. Holding Centre Govt fully responsible for the loss of lives and injuries to scores including that of Security Forces, G. A. Mir hit out at BJP, saying that since the day this Party assumed power at Centre, the peaceful atmosphere in the country especially in J&K deteriorated , as a result people of the country especially those living near borders in this have suffered immensely citing the reason as wrong policies on the part of Centre Govt especially Prime Minister Narinder Modi. Mention that J&K State has been turned into the battle field, G.A. Mir called for peace, saying that it is ultimately our people who are suffering due to escalation in tension on borders and GOI India has to take effective measurers to infuse sense of security among the people. G. A. Mir urged upon both State and Centre Govts to ensure every facility to affected people. He also asked the State Govt to ensure treatment to every injured, besides adequate arrangements to be put in place for rehabilitation of the victims, he added. Congress President emphasized that Centre Govt must take effective measures to put an end to ceasefire violations from across the border ensuring that people do no suffer due to ceasefire violations.(KNO)
